Deepening International Exchange and Expanding Opportunities for Cooperation—Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd.'s U.S. Seed Industry Study Tour Successfully Completes Its Mission
From August 18 to 28, 2026, a U.S. seed industry delegation led by Researcher Dr. Changyong Shao, Chairman of Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd., traveled to the United States to engage in seed industry exchanges and market research, successfully completing the visit and exchange activities. Yan Li, Deputy General Manager of the company, and Ziang Chen, Regional Manager of the International Department, participated in the visit.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with two U.S. seed companies on topics including germplasm resources, variety breeding, seed production, industrial operations, and international market cooperation. They also conducted on-site visits to the companies’ farms to gain a detailed understanding of the construction of local seed production bases, variety development, field management, and industrial operations.

Through roundtable discussions and on-site visits, the delegation gained a deeper understanding of the U.S. seed industry’s development model, corporate management philosophies, and market systems, and engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding specific varieties, seed resources, and market operations. The two sides reached a positive consensus in multiple areas and established a preliminary intention to cooperate, laying a solid foundation for more in-depth and practical cooperation in the future.

This trip to the United States represents a significant step by Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd. in actively implementing its international development strategy and proactively integrating into the global seed industry supply chain. It also serves as a key initiative under the company’s ‘Marketing Year 2026’ to further expand its international markets and optimize its global market footprint. By ‘going global’ to engage in face-to-face exchanges, the company has not only broadened its channels for international cooperation but has also gained valuable insights into international seed industry trends, learned about the business models of leading seed companies, and identified high-quality partnership opportunities.
In recent years, Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd. has continued to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in the seed industry, actively expanded its overseas markets, and driven the company’s transition from traditional seed trade to multidimensional international cooperation encompassing varieties, technology, resources, and markets. The cooperative outcomes achieved during this study tour to the United States will help further enrich the company’s international cooperation resources and expand opportunities for collaboration in the North American market, while also providing new opportunities for the company to introduce high-quality germplasm resources, strengthen the research and development of new varieties, and promote the internationalization of its leading varieties.
Moving forward, Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd. will use this visit as an opportunity to continue strengthening communication and exchanges with international seed companies, further advance the implementation of projects for which cooperation agreements have already been reached, actively explore more diverse and efficient models of international cooperation, and continuously enhance the international influence and market competitiveness of the ‘Lu Zhong’ brand, thereby injecting new momentum into the company’s high-quality development.
Although this trip to the United States was brief, it yielded fruitful results and had far-reaching significance. It was not only a proactive ‘exploratory mission’ into the international market but also an opportunity to connect resources, exchange ideas, and lay the groundwork for cooperation. Looking ahead, Shandong Province Seeds Group Co., Ltd. will continue to focus on its core seed business while keeping an eye on the global market. The company will strengthen international cooperation with a more open attitude and promote the implementation of cooperative outcomes through more pragmatic actions. While serving the development of modern agriculture, the company will continuously enhance its level of internationalization.
